AND THE DAY OF THE RAPTURE WILL BE...
Isn't that the question that all Christians want answered? The majority of Bible Prophecy watchmen are looking very seriously at the Fall of 2015, and many, including myself, are actually EXPECTING THIS TO BE OUR LONG-AWAITED TIME!!! The two-month time period, from Sept. 11th through Nov. 11th, hold many compelling reasons, signs, puzzle pieces, clues, and calculations, as to why so many of us are convinced that we have EVERY reason to believe WE HAVE FINALLY ARRIVED!!!
But can we actually pinpoint the very DAY OF THE RAPTURE??? Many Watchmen are convinced that we can. Many are convinced that the day of the Rapture will be Sept. 23--24th, Feast of Atonement, this year. Indeed, there are several calculations pointing DIRECTLY to this very day. I believe it will be Day 1 of modern-day Israel's very first Jubilee Year!!! Many, including myself, are convinced that the Jubilee cycle began the day that Israel re-captured their holy city of Jerusalem, in the 6-Day War, on June 7, 1967. Amazingly, the 49-Year cycle ends precisely on this very day in 2015, the most holy day of the year for the Jews, the day of the year that a Year of Jubilee is supposed to begin.
There are other major calculations that also point us DIRECTLY to this very same day. We also have Obama, the Antichrist, and Pope Francis, the likely False Prophet, meeting at the White House, on Sept. 23rd, with the Pope making an important announcement to Congress on Sept. 24th. Most Prophetic scholars are convinced that something REALLY REALLY HUGE is going to take place on Day of Atonement, Sept. 23--24th. But will it be the Day of the Rapture???
There are other Bible Prophecy scholars who are adamant that the Rapture has to happen on Feast of Trumpets, also called Roshashana. This year this day, which is filled with Rapture implications, is on Sept. 13--15th. Because this Feast Day, the first day of the civil Jewish New Year, cannot begin until the day after the first sliver of the moon is spotted in Jerusalem, it is referred to as "the day and hour of which nobody knows". This is the same phrase that is referenced by the Rapture event in the New Testament. Also the Rapture is accompanied by the sound of the Trumpets, so many scholars have deduced that Feast of Trumpets HAS to be the Day of the Rapture. Feast of Trumpets is celebrated as a two-day event, and actually covers parts of three different days. Many seem convinced that Feast of Trumpets, 2015, will be the time of the Rapture. If so, which of the three days? Many other Prophetic scholars are NOT convinced that the Rapture will be on this Feast Day. Will Feast of Trumpets, Sept. 13--15th, of this year, be the Day of the Rapture???
Still other equally proficient Bible Prophecy scholars label the Final Fall Feast, the Feast of Tabernacles, to be the Rapture Feast. They are able to make seemingly valid Scriptural points as to why the Rapture HAS to be on Feast of Tabernacles, in whatever year. But this Feast, like Feast of Trumpets, is not just on one day. It covers 7 to 8 days. I have read dissertations, over the years, that support the Rapture taking place on Day 1, Day 3, Day 7, and Day 8, of Feast of Tabernacles. There is a lot of different opinions on which Day of Tabernacles is actually the Rapture Day, if any. This year, 2015, Day 1 of Tabernacles is on the Final lunar eclipse of the blood red moon tetrad for 2014--2015, leading some to support Day 1, Sept. 28th, as the Day of the Rapture. Will the 7--8 Day period of Feast of Tabernacles, starting on Sept. 28th of 2015, be the time of the Rapture???
My personal view on the Day of the Rapture has evolved over the past 40+ years of studying Bible Prophecy. It has taken me many, many years, but I now firmly believe that the Bible has the answers to the Day of the Rapture. Will the Rapture be on a Fall Feast Day??? Will the Rapture be on the first Day of the Tribulation??? Can we KNOW the actual Day of the Rapture? Let's examine briefly these three questions.
First, "Will the Rapture be on a Fall Feast Day?" I do believe the Rapture will be in the Fall (I include all of Sept., for simplicity's sake) and I do believe we have EVERY reason to expect the pre-Tribulation Rapture to be this year, 2015. I am no longer convinced that it HAS to be on a Feast Day, but I would certainly not, at this point, rule out any of the Fall Feast Days in 2015 to be the actual time of the Rapture. The reason I believe in a Fall Rapture is because Jesus is the fulfillment of the 7 Feasts. During His 1st Coming, our Lord fulfilled the 4 Spring Feasts, so it is obvious to most Bible Prophecy scholars that God HAS to complete His Prophetic plan, by having Jesus fulfill the remaining three Fall Feasts, on His literal Return to earth. All signs point to the Year being 2022, which means that the 7-Year Tribulation must start in the Fall of 2015. This should, therefore, put the Rapture at this time also.
Secondly, "Will the Rapture be on the first Day of the Tribulation??? It has only been the last few years, that I could answer this question with any degree of confidence. I believe the answer to this question is "Yes". I believe the Scriptures support the Tribulation being the Day of the Lord. And I believe the Day of the Lord is twofold, being God's time of Judgment for the world, and God's time to provide a way of ESCAPE, for the Bride of Christ, through the pre-Trib Rapture. I believe the Word supports these two extremely important, and climatic events, to take place on the very same day. I will expound on the Scriptural reasons why in the post below, which is Part 1, and also much more next week, in Part 2.
Thirdly, "Can we KNOW the actual Day of the Rapture?" My answer is "Yes, we can KNOW the DAY of the Rapture, but maybe not the DATE of the Rapture." Let me explain. There is still no consensus as to the actual DATE of the Rapture, even though many Bible Prophecy scholars are fully expecting it to take place this Fall. Let me just say that that MAY change if we are still here after the Fall Feast Days this year, and there has been no pre-Tribulation Rapture yet. So, we MAY be able to KNOW the actual DATE of the Rapture, in the near future, but right now we do not KNOW the DATE of the Rapture for sure.
So, how can we KNOW the DAY of the Rapture, without knowing the DATE of the Rapture? I am finally about to tell you the answer to the title of this post. AND THE DAY OF THE RAPTURE WILL BE...THE DAY OF THE SIMULTANEOUS SUDDEN DESTRUCTION!!!!!!!
So, if we could figure out the the DAY of the Sudden Destruction of 1st Thessalonians 5, we would KNOW the actual DATE of the Rapture. So, the Rapture COULD be on one of the Fall Feast Days this year, 2015, but only if the Sudden Destruction, in the Word of God, is on the very same Feast Day.
Before I let you read why I believe in a simultaneous Rapture and Sudden Destruction (which I believe will be nuclear bombs), let me tell you my likely DATE of the Rapture. My study of Bible Prophecy has convinced me that the Sudden Destruction of 1st Thess. 5 is the same day as the starting date of the Tribulation. And I believe we have numerous reasons, as I have presented to you in several different posts this year, that this day will be on ELEVEN ELEVEN OF THIS YEAR!
That is why I strongly lean towards this also being the probable DATE of the Rapture. But I do not KNOW that for sure. I will be watching with all of you, especially during the Fall Feast Days that are rapidly approaching. I fully understand those of you who are pointing towards Feast of Trumpets, or Feast of Atonement, in September. I really do. I just do not agree with you. But I will be watching with you, especially on these Feast Days. I can only pray that if the Rapture does not happen in Sept. or early October, that all of you will continue watching with me right up until November 11th.
