Dear friends, a Christian friend recently asked me to watch and research some videos with David Lankford and Steve Quayle on the Hagmann & Hagmann discussion regarding the Rapture doctrines. My heart was grieved when I heard them saying if Christians do not believe their POST TRIB theory that the PRE TRIB believers are being deceived and are not saved. In fact they are saying the PRE trib believers will be the great falling away. I was so grieved at their teachings because I was not aware that differing on belief of the timing of rapture effects salvation? I have always believed Christians are saved by faith in Jesus and not by our works. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8. I decided to send an email to David Lankford asking Him how can he be sure he is right about the timing of the Rapture or Resurrection day? I explained: there still remains a big problem with the pre trib and post theories. Jesus makes it very clear in Matthew 25:5 and all the way through the Bible. When He first comes back ''He comes back when ''no one'' is expecting Him.'' If Jesus comes back now? then the pre tribbers are expecting Him. But that goes against what Jesus said. Because, Matthew 25:5 Jesus made it clear in the Parable of the Ten Virgins even though some are ready and expecting Him before the trib they (all slumbered and slept) So according to what Jesus said pre tribbers must be wrong. If Jesus ''only'' comes back at the end of the great trib? then that is when post tribbers are expecting Him. But that also goes against what Jesus said. Because again Matthew 25:5 Jesus made it clear, ''no one was ready.'' again, (all slumbered and slept). If post tribbers are right? post tribbers should be ready when Jesus comes back. NOT (all slumbered and slept). In fact all BELIEVERS should be ready at the end of the tribulation because it will be so terrible. Matthew 25:5 clearly proves Jesus comes when NO one is expecting Him. If we all go into the great trib? than ALL believers will know He is returning, surly? Why? For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.So how can any believer be (all slumbered and slept)? if they are still here in the Tribulation. He then returned his email saying: I see only a 42 month time period. Jesus got the first 42 month of Daniel's 7 years. Matt. 25. I feel is about the kingdom and marriage supper of the Lord. Read Matt. 22:1-14 Serving In Christ, David & Kim Lankford. I then returned his email saying: In the kingdom and marriage supper of the Lord is about Jesus talking to Israel who keep rejecting Him. We the 10 virgins have not rejected Jesus. Even the 5 (FOOLISH) virgins are carrying lamps representing the Gospels. But they have no spare oil/Holy Spirit. So they may be believers but people who have not truly given their lives to Jesus, or they are believers who have fallen into temptation at the time of testing. The temptation to forsake Jesus. David Lankford did not reply to this last email and give me ANY reasons or explanations whatsoever. And NO reasons or explanations to why Jesus said in Matthew 25:5 making it very clear, ''no one was ready.'' again, because He said (all slumbered and slept). Remember the 10 virgins represents people who belong to the Lord, of which 5 were (WISE) and 5 were (FOOLISH). So how is it David Lankford and POST TRIB believers will be ready and seem to know more about the timing of Jesus return then Jesus does Himself when Jesus has already said ALL the 10 virgins represents believers who (all slumbered and slept)? Barnes' Notes on Matthew 25 - 5. The bridegroom tarried - That is, while they waited for him. It was uncertain at what time he would come. He delayed longer than they expected. So what do I believe? The message is clear. Don't live and teach for the Rapture or Resurrection day, or we could slumber on the way. That's why Jesus made it a secret until that day. To keep us alert every day. But stay awake and pray, looking out for Christ each day, living for Christ in every way. And He will wake us on the day. Because no one knows that day.
