The food and water were provided by the Red Cross and was not acceptable
because - the Cross is a "Christian" symbol. Perhaps also the water was not
certified Halal!!
Why was it not on TV ? They discard food and water and there is a
predominance of young men?

Their refusal of food and water was their only non-violent way to stand up for their families. They had boarded the train thinking it was taking them to Austria.
